Canva has taken the world by storm with its user-friendly design platform and templates. With a free subscription allowing you access to quite an extensive library of templates, illustrations and even photographs, there’s definitely a lot you can do to create amazing assets for your email campaigns.
What is Canva?
Canva is an online tool that allows people to design creative assets for any of their marketing campaigns.
Who can use it?
Anyone can use Canva. All you need to do is create a profile and you are good to go. Its easy-to-use interface can help anyone easily understand how to use the platform to make any kind of creative assets that they need for their business.
Why you should consider using Canva?
If you’re a start-up or don’t have a marketing budget to have professional marketing collateral made for you, Canva may be the answer for you.

How to use Canva for your email campaigns:
Step 1: Sign up for an account
Step 2: Decide what asset you need to create, for the purpose of this example, we’ll pretend we are designing an email header.
Enter email header as per the example below:

Step 3: You can choose to create a header from a template or start with a blank slate.

Once you have picked a template or used the blank template you will see the page below. We’ve selected the Retro Hotel template to illustrate.

Now you can start personalising your design.
Play around with different fonts, placements and colours.

Step 4: Once you are done with your design you can easily download your image.
Select DOWNLOAD > Select the File format you want to save this in (we chose PNG) and select the download button. Your file will now download.
