Spam – it's the bane of our digital existence
We get it, and we're sure you do too. At Mindvate (Pty) Ltd, trading as Mail Blaze, we want to keep your email communications genuine, respectful, and effective. So, let's chat about our Anti-Spam Policy in a way that feels as down-to-earth as that friendly neighbor next door.
- No Room for Spam
First things first: Spamming is not cool. We won't tolerate it, and we're pretty sure you're on the same page. Sending out those unsolicited bulk emails? Not something we're fans of, and we bet you aren't either.
- What Exactly Is Spam?
Now, let's talk about what spam really is. Sure, you might get a different answer from ten different people, but we like to keep it simple. Spam is any email you send to someone who hasn't given you the green light to contact them about that specific topic. In plain language, if they didn't say, "Yes, please send me this stuff," it's probably spam.
- The Email Addresses We're Cool With
If you're using Mail Blaze, you need permission from the folks you're emailing. They should have willingly signed up for your emails. This permission can come from your website's subscribe form or other transparent methods. No secret handshakes or decoder rings required.
- The Email Addresses to Avoid
Now, here's what you should avoid like the plague:
- Email addresses you bought, borrowed, or swiped from third parties. You need to do the legwork and collect them yourself.
- Subscribers you haven't emailed in ages. People change their emails faster than you can say "unsubscribe," and they might not remember you.
- Scraped email addresses from the wild web. Just because an email is out there doesn't mean they want to hear from you.
- What Your Emails Must Include
Every email sent through Mail Blaze needs to have a crystal-clear "unsubscribe" link. We’re so serious about it that you can’t actually physically send out an email without it.
- Account Suspension
We're keeping things fair. If your campaigns generate a lot of spam complaints, we might have to put your Mail Blaze account in time-out. And if you're sending emails without proper permission, and/or we receive spam complaints we might require you to complete certain steps to continue sending from our platform. Failure to complete the steps or continued listing infractions will result in your termination from our platform without recourse.
As part of our dedication to combat spam, account suspension can also happen as a result of high levels of hard and/or soft bounces. Please ensure that you keep your list health in good order.
- Content Rules
If you're using Mail Blaze, you need permission from the folks you're emailing. They should have willingly signed up for your emails. This permission can come from your website's subscribe form or other transparent methods. No secret handshakes or decoder rings required.
- Industries Requiring Extra Attention
Some industries or content need a little extra scrutiny. If you're diving into these areas, just give our support team a heads-up. They're friendly folks, and they'll guide you through it.
- Get Consent, Be Crystal Clear
In a nutshell, get a nod from your subscribers, be super clear about what you're sending, and always give them an easy way to bail out if they want to. It's all about keeping our email community respectful and spam-free.
