How to use our AI Content Blocks

In this article, we’ll show you how you can easily create your email campaign content using our AI Content Blocks. Our AI Content Blocks are the AI Text Content Block and AI Image Content Block, which enable you to create compelling email content with just a few well-thought-out prompts.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in email campaign creation will make it easy for you to generate your email copy and images all within the Mail Blaze platform.

Navigate to the campaign section by going to:

LOGIN > Click on CAMPAIGNS in the main menu > Then click on CAMPAIGNS in the dropdown menu.

Now select an existing campaign or start from scratch by clicking on CREATE NEW.

In the email design sidebar panel, click on the AI tab to create and manage AI Topics. This is where you will find all your AI Topics for AI Text content as well as AI Image content going forward.

HOW TO USE THE AI TEXT CONTENT BLOCK

Let’s start with the AI Text Content Block first. The first thing to do is add in a structure where you would like to place our content. Choose a structure and add it to your campaign now. We’ll use the One-column structure in this example.

Now you will select the AI TEXT BLOCK and drag it into your structure.

You’ll see all the normal content related design settings in the email design panel on the right hand side of your screen, with the addition of the SELECT AI TOPIC dropdown menu. If you haven’t used this content block before, you won’t see any options in the dropdown menu. To add a topic, click on the GREEN PLUS ICON.

Now a new menu will appear and you’ll be able to fill out your relevant content prompts to brief the AI.

Keep in mind that you can also create an AI Text Topic, by navigating to the AI tab in the email design panel and then clicking on the CREATE AI TEXT TOPIC button.

To generate your copy, you will need to complete the following:

TOPIC TITLE

The topic title is what you are going to name this content block. Keep in mind that this isn't used in the copy generation process but is rather used to help you stay organised and name your content blocks.

PURPOSE

The purpose section is where you need to provide the goal of the piece of content/text. The more detail you provide, the more accurate and relevant the copy is likely to be. A well thought out prompt needs to be very descriptive.

To get you inspired, we’d recommend starting in one of the following ways and then adding as much information as possible:

• “Create a” - then tell the AI what you want them to create—a blurb, a list of items, an article.
• “Act As” - use this style of prompt to have the AI pretend to write from a certain point of view.
• “Mimic this style” - provide a snippet of text and ask the AI to mimic this style
• “Make a list of” - tell the AI what you want it to create a list of for you.
• "Tell me about or explain" - and then add what you want it to explain

It's also important to highlight any specific things you want the AI to mention or not mention in the text. For example, if you want to include a special mention of a particular product.

KEYWORDS

Next, you’ll add in some keywords. Just like keywords help search engines find the correct content to serve you, the keywords here help the AI generate relevant campaign content. Add enough relevant keywords to ensure that more targeted content is generated in line with your messaging, goals and branding.

NO. OF CONTENT BLOCKS

Now select how many specific variations of this content block you would like the AI to generate. Please note that you can only populate as many content blocks as the number you specify here.

We don’t recommend doing more than 10.

NO. OF WORDS

Now you should give the AI an idea of the number of words you’re looking for. You don’t want the AI to spit out an article when you only need a blurb. Keep in mind that you still want the content item to appear visually appealing, considering its placement within your campaign. Leaving this field blank will leave the word count up to the AI.

Click on the SAVE AI TEXT TOPIC button. Your AI Topic will now generate in the background and the platform will let you know once your AI Topic has been generated.

Once the AI Topic has been generated, you can simply click on the AI Text container and pick your topic and one of the content blocks you asked the AI to generate from the AI Topic menu.

GENERATING MULTIPLE VARIATIONS OF THE TEXT

If you are not satisfied with the first text that the AI has generated for you, you can always get it to generate more variations for you. You can do this by clicking on the generated text within the builder. Once you’ve clicked on it, you’ll be able to see the AI variation generator icon. Click on it to generate another version of the text.

Once you have generated more than one variation of the copy, you’ll be able to see two green arrows on either side of the text box. This simply means that you can go back and forth between the different variations of the text that you’ve generated with the AI. Four variations are generated by the platform by default and you can choose the variation you like.

AI TEXT ENHANCER SETTINGS

If the generated text is still not exactly right, you can provide additional guidance to the AI by using the AI Text Enhancer Settings for automatic content generation.

Click on the generated text within the builder, then click on the GREEN AI ICON. Now add additional information in the Creative Direction section. Add additional keywords and adjust the number of words. When you are happy with the information provided, click on the SAVE SETTINGS button. New AI text will now be generated in line with the additional information you’ve provided.

HOW TO USE THE AI IMAGE CONTENT BLOCK

Let’s take a closer look at the AI IMAGE CONTENT BLOCK. Start by adding a structure where you would like to place the Image. We’ll use the One-column structure.

Now drag the AI Image Content Block into your structure.

You’ll see all the normal content-related design settings in the email design panel on the right hand side of your screen, with the addition of the SELECT AI TOPIC dropdown menu. If you haven’t used this content block before, you won’t see any options in the dropdown menu.

CREATING AI IMAGE TOPIC

Now we need to add a topic. Click on the GREEN PLUS ICON. This will immediately take you to the AI tab in the editor, and then click the CREATE AI IMAGE TOPIC button.

Keep in mind that you can also create an AI Image Topic, by navigating to the AI tab in the email design panel and then clicking on the CREATE AI IMAGE TOPIC button.

To generate your image, you will need to complete the following.

TOPIC TITLE

The topic title serves as the name for this content block. It's important to note that it doesn't play a role in generating images; it just helps you stay organised and find the block again.

DESCRIPTIVE DIRECTION

The descriptive direction section is where you should explain the purpose of the image. Here is where you need to describe what you want the image to be. You will get better results if you add a very detailed description.

Here are some suggestions to help you create better descriptions:

• Describe the scene or subject you want in the image.
• Specify any key elements, objects, or people that should be included.
• Mention any desired colours, moods, or atmospheres for the image.
• Indicate any specific style or artistic preferences.
• Provide context or a brief story if relevant to the image.
• Keep the instructions clear and concise for the AI to understand and generate the image accordingly.

For example:

• Create an image of a peaceful beach at sunset with palm trees.
• Show a family having a picnic in a sunny park with a red picnic blanket.
• Generate a vibrant abstract painting with bold colours and dynamic shapes.
• Illustrate a futuristic cityscape with tall skyscrapers and flying cars.

• Produce a cosy cabin in the snowy mountains with a warm, inviting interior.

  

ART STYLE

In the art style section, you need to tell the AI what art style it needs to use for your imagery. You can choose from:

• Realistic photography
• 3D model
• Analog film
• Anime
• Cinematic
• Comic book
• Digital art
• Enhance
• Fantasy art
• Line art
• Low poly
• Modeling compound
• Neon punk
• Origami
• Pixel art
• Title texture

Realistic Photography is the most commonly used art style.

NO. OF CONTENT BLOCKS

You will need to tell the AI how many content blocks to create for you. With images, we advise you not to exceed 10 content blocks.

Once you’ve filled out all the details, you can click on the SAVE AI IMAGE TOPIC button. Your AI Topic will now generate in the background and the platform will let you know once your AI Topic has been generated.

Once the AI Topic has been generated, you can click on the AI Image container, select your topic from the dropdown menu and then choose one of the content blocks you asked the AI to generate. You’ve now created your first AI Image.

ADDING THE AI IMAGE TOPIC TO THE CAMPAIGN

To see your newly generated AI Image Topic, simply navigate to the AI tab. You’ll now be able to see your AI Topic Library, where all your generated AI content blocks are stored.

To add the AI generated image to your campaign design, simply click on the AI Image Content Block in your design.

Navigate to the right side panel, then click on the AI Topic dropdown menu. Here you will see your topic listed as well as the number of content blocks you asked the AI to generate for this image. Pick the content block you want and it will be placed in your campaign.

GENERATING MULTIPLE VARIATIONS OF THE IMAGE

If you are not satisfied with the first image that the AI has generated for you, you can always get it to generate more variations for you. You can do this by clicking on the generated image within the design. Once you’ve clicked on it, you’ll be able to see a green arrow icon. Click on it to generate another version of the image.

Once you’ve asked the platform to generate more variations of the content block, you’ll be able to see two green arrows on either side of the image box. These arrows help you scroll through the variations that have been created. The system will generate four variations by default here.

AI IMAGE ENHANCER SETTINGS

If you want to provide additional guidance for the AI, you can use the AI Image Enhancer Settings.

Click on the generated image within your campaign design. Click on the green AI IMAGE ENHANCER ICON. Add more detail to your creative direction and update the art style and/or number of words as needed.

Now click on the green SAVE SETTINGS button.

You can find all the AI Images that you've generated in your FILE MANAGER under a folder named AI Images.

You should now be able to use our AI Content Blocks to create your email campaign content in no time.
